"We enjoyed our stay here- good location, pleasant pool, spacious property, well-equipped kitchen. A few things which could have been improved:- it would be nice to have some kitchen basics included- water, salt/pepper, spices, oil, etc- the cooking worked out quite expensive because everything had to be bought from scratch.- better lighting- it was very gloomy inside in the evenings.- the communication with one member of staff on WhatsApp was a little short and could have been more friendly/welcoming. - I know this is common in the area and hard to manage, but the ants and cockroaches which come in in the evening were not very pleasant.- The showers were rarely hot"

The chef and his sous chef were amazing and accommodating and made the process so simple. The ladies on property were responsive and super helpful with helping us navigate the local places. "I had a fantastic stay at Baobab Beach Resort & Spa. The location on Diani Beach is stunning, with white sand and clear water. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the all-inclusive food and drinks were excellent. The pools were clean, the rooms comfortable, and the whole atmosphere was relaxing. I’d definitely come back and recommend it to anyone looking for a great beach holiday in Kenya."

"Every person I encountered was pleasant and friendly Off the beaten track but a Tuk tuk away from everything. On the beach but not recommended for swimming. Huge pool. Best staff Good buffet If there’s low guests it’s ala carte which is even better!! "

"What a gem of a property this is and the name is fitting as it can be a little difficult to find. The check in was a little slow as the women who is the mother of the owner Ann, was a little green and it took a bit longer than I would have liked. Then Cynthia took me up to the room and what a great surprise! The room was so large with a huge bedroom/living room area; large hallway with plenty of drawer and closet space; a walk in shower with many hoses and the bathroom included a bodet, two robes, slippers and plenty of towels. The service and food were outstanding provided by Cythia and Miriam. The desk was very accomodating to my needs. The pool was clean and refreshing. My only issue was the flies (perhaps some netting would help). Michael made me feel secure and the property is close to the beach, shops and banks. Compliments to the chef on the food items including a great Eggs Florentine and American Steak Sandwich. The housekeeping and pool maintenance staff were always hard at work keeping the property clean. I will definitely return when I come back to Diani Beach!"

"Clean, modern and comfortable but is basic accommodation with a number of failings: poor shower, rooms are lit up by corridor lighting at night so impedes sleep, there are no room facilities (cups, coffee, etc) and internal floors can be very slippy under foot after rainfall (but expect rains!). Staff are friendly and polite which helps on any stay."

"I feel I was misled by the photos. We were in a different building than what I thought from the main photos. The building is in need of repairs. We experienced, wifi outage - including a message when we tried to connect that the account was suspended for non payment. We were without water for an afternoon, the ac in the bedroom was not working. I have photos I can share showing the poor condition, including one of windows with boards over them presumably because the glass was broken. Paying over $300 a night I would have expected much more. I feel like I was ripped off."

"New build property. Everything high quality, the staff are friendly and helpful and keep the complex in a very good condition. Very peaceful and quiet. Inside the property has all modern appliances along with stylish furniture and bedding etc. "

"I was the only guest in the hotel, which was apparently under some renovation. Terrible service with literally everything not functioning (water, electricity, safe, kitchen) and limited staff. Monkeys kept sneaking into my room (by actually opening the windows themselves) and messing my stuff despite complaining about the same to management. The hotel should not have been listed as available to guests! "
